Wedding in Germany

Rick and Monica and Monica's parents went to Germany for Nina and Christian's wedding. They spent a little over a week there and had a wonderful time. The saw some beautiful sights, including Trier, the oldest city in Germany (from before 50BC). They had a great time at the wedding. The also went to Cologne (Koln in German - with an umlaut over the "o"). They have lots of pictures that I am sure we will see at some point. But tonight they sent out some pictures "with people in them". We thought we would share some of them.

Here are Nina, Christian and Rick in front of a very old church.
Cornelia (Nina's mom) and Monica walking their dog.
Christian's pride and joy during it's decoration. This is an antique Citroen. It was beautifully polished and readied for the ceremonies.
The very happy couple, Nina and Christian.
Monica, her mom and her two aunts, Christa and Helga.
Monica's parents at the wedding reception. The reception lasted from 3:30 in the afternoon until 3:45 the next morning. Rick said that they played some interesting games, including one in which he was drafted to play darts. He was able to help his team win, even without speaking German! Janick, Nina's brother, worked for days preparing a cute video. In it he interviewed several relatives and showed their answers. The twist was that he changed the question in the video - so "How long did they know each other before Christian proposed?" became "How long do you think their wedding will last?" They all really enjoyed it (Monica translated for Rick...)
Here are Rick and Monica in Trier, the oldest city in Germany.
A family gathering for dinner.
Monica and her dad in the city where she spent her teenage years.
All in all, it looks like they had a wonderful time! Congratulations Nina and Christian! And we look forward to seeing more pictures when we get down to see you, Rick and Monica.
