Thanksgiving in Arkansas

Kara and Brandon were driving across country from Washington to Georgia where Brandon will be taking over an Army company. Initially they had thought that they might make it to Maryland for Thanksgiving. But it turned out to be too far, and they decided to stop and enjoy Thanksgiving with Carl and Ellen. Joyce and David were invited to come out and immediately decided to drive out. It was a 20 hour drive each way, but well worth it. We had a wonderful time with all of them. We just wish that Kim and Andrew could have joined us (particularly when we got the news...)

Of course the news we got from KD and Ellen was the real exciting part!! We already knew that Kim was expecting and due in May!

The news was that Kara is due in June, and Ellen in July!!
What a year 2008 will be!

NC Lot from the water

This is the lot we purchased in October of this year in North Carolina. Rick and Monica took these pictures from their boat as they passed by.
Here is the lot. The waterfront is 220 ft. At this point, the lake was down about 5 feet due to the drought.
