Aunt Arney Visits Ava

I am so excited! My Aunt Arney came to visit me!


I smiled a lot!













I even smiled at Aunt Arney.












We were good buddies while she was here.













She played with me a lot. She even let me sit on her lap!












The whole time she was here, Mommy and Aunt Arney dressed me up in different outfits. I was good and let them.

It was really fun having Aunt Arney here!
Of course I keep up with my Pilates so that Mom-mom and I can do it together.
I love to sleep cuddled up with my Mommy.
And watch Cubs games with my Daddy.


















But for right now, it's time for me to catch 40 winks. Bye-bye!

Monica

We have so much and so many people in our lives to be thankful for. Our sister-in-law Monica is one of them. Monica is a nurse who takes care of seriously ill children. She is such a caring person, and has so much to give. I don't think that we could do what she does, even if we had the knowledge.

Recently, she helped a family take their son to the beach for the first time. Monica sent several pictures of the wonderful time that they had and the clear enjoyment that the family had letting their son experience the salt air and sand for the first time.

It took a lot of special equipment in order to allow her patient to even be at the beach.
Here he is getting his first chance to feel the ocean.
And getting to be out in the sun as they had lunch on the deck.








We are so very proud of Monica and all that she does. We love you, Monica.

Hannah Dresses Like Mommy

Today, Kara dressed Hannah in a dress that she wore when she was 3 weeks old. Hannah is 5 weeks old and is a doll baby!!!

Look at them! I think that Hannah is going to look as much like Kara as Joseph does Brandon.

Brandon and Kara sent out some pictures last night. Here are a few.

Hannah - with her spiked hair. What is this thing that our kids have with spiking their daughters' hair?? Oh well, it doesn't hide how cute she is.

Well, if Hannah won't play, I'll just relax in my air recliner.

Recent Pictures of Ava

We received some new pictures of Ava tonight and had to put some of them up on the blog. They are using some cradle cap cream that allows them to "spike" her hair. I don't think that they will like it if she decides to do that on her own 16 years from now. :)

Prius

Rick and Monica bought a new Prius. It is quite pretty. It has leather seats, too. They say it got 50 mpg before even being broken in.



Good looking leather seats.
They bought a sun cover for the touch-tone panel, whatever that is. Rick is eager to show David when they get down there next time.












Rick and Monica leave with Monica's parents now for Germany. That will be a fantastic trip. When they get back, Monica's parents will be moving into the apartment that they built downstairs. It is really neat. We have been to see it. We will be eager to see it all decorated once they move in.

The fan comes down!

Brandon took the whole house fan down this week and replaced it with drywall! What a job! This is a picture of the fan, which was in the middle of the kitchen and had to be 8 feet long. They tell us it weighed 300 pounds!





Kara says that he had to lower it with a pulley system that he devised and then they had to take it apart to get rid of it.






They are really doing a lot of work. Their home is going to be beautiful when they finish!
